Member of the Editorial Board of the Spanish Journal of Scientific Documentation (REDC) and of the Social and Health Information and Research Unit (UISYS Group) at the University of Valencia. Research areas: evaluation of scientific activity, productivity, collaboration, and impact; impact of open science, as well as the management, exchange, and use of research data. Across the board, I have integrated gender studies and citizen participation in the field of health, exploring how these areas strengthen scientific production processes and the social impact of science.

Associate Professor of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Valencia, psychologist, and researcher in addictions, research evaluation, and open science. He has published over 70 peer-reviewed articles, contributed to 14 books, and made over 80 contributions to scientific conferences. He has served as Principal Investigator on competitive projects such as ONCOSHARING and INNOGEN and leads agreements on addictions with public administrations. He has supervised three doctoral theses, serves as Academic Mobility Coordinator for the Degree in Information and Documentation, and directs the International Technology Transfer Center in Addictions (ITTC Spain), as well as being a member of the RIAPAd network.

Cristina Rius is currently a permanent lecturer at the Department of History of Science and Documentation at the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry of the University of Valencia. She holds a degree in Pharmacy. She combines her teaching work with her research activity. In the academic field, she has specialised in teaching ‘Scientific methodology’, ‘Information literacy’ and ‘Biomedical documentation’, key disciplines for the critical training of students in areas such as Pharmacy, Nutrition and Medicine. At the same time, she has developed a solid research career in biomedical documentation, with an emphasis on the study of inflammatory processes and cardiovascular pathologies, through her active involvement with the National Centre for Cardiovascular Research (CNIC), one of the centres of excellence in biomedical research in Spain. Her research has explored molecular mechanisms related to vascular inflammation, as well as the role of the immune system in pathological contexts such as cancer and cardiovascular disease. Recently, she has focused her field of study on the analysis of the gender perspective in research, incorporating this approach as a cross-cutting dimension in the design and evaluation of scientific projects. Her multidisciplinary profile allows her to build bridges between research practice and university education, providing an integrative vision that strengthens both scientific innovation and teaching quality.

Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work at the University of Valencia. She holds a degree in Social Work from the University of Vigo (2014), a master's degree in Research on Treatment and Pathologies Associated with Addictions from the University of Valencia (2016), and a PhD from the University of Valencia (2021). Her main lines of research are open science and open data; the gender perspective in health sciences; and addiction research. She has taught six different degree programmes and three master's degrees at the University of Valencia and the Polytechnic University of Valencia, and has participated in six competitive research projects. She currently has a six-year period recognised by the CNEAI and is part of the Health and Social Research and Information Unit (UISYS group) at the University of Valencia.

She holds a degree in Communication (University of Quilmes, Argentina), a Master’s degree in Communication and Culture of Science and Technology (University of Salamanca), and a Ph.D. in Library and Information Science (UC3M). She has worked as a researcher in I+D+i centres in Argentina, Switzerland and Spain, focusing on topics related to Information Metrics Studies (scientometrics, research evaluation, scientific collaboration, academic mobility, etc.). Over the past ten years, she has focused on open science, with particular emphasis on open access studies, responsible research assessment and citizen science.

Joseph S. Ross, MD, MHS, is a Professor of General Internal Medicine at the Yale School of Medicine and of Health Policy and Management at the Yale School of Public Health. With expertise in health services and outcomes research, his research examines the use and delivery of higher quality care, how clinical research is translated into practice, and issues related to pharmaceutical and medical device regulation, evidence development, postmarket surveillance, and medical product adoption. Dr. Ross co-directs the Yale-Mayo Clinic Center for Excellence in Regulatory Science and Innovation (CERSI), the Yale Open Data Access (YODA) Project, and the Collaboration for Regulatory Rigor, Integrity, and Transparency (CRRIT). He has published more than 800 articles in peer-reviewed biomedical journals, co-founded the preprint server medRxiv, and is currently a Deputy Editor at JAMA.

Rafael Aleixandre Benavent

Rafael Aleixandre is a head scientist at OPI, affiliated with the Institute of Innovation and Knowledge Management- Ingenio (CSIC– Polytechnic University of Valencia) and with the UISYS Research Unit of the University of Valencia. His research areas are: the evaluation of research and scientific publications; the promotion and management of open access to publications and raw research data; and research on drug dependence. He has led several projects related to these areas and has published numerous resulting works. In 2012, he was accredited as Full Professor by the University Council of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of the Government of Spain.

Antonia Ferrer Sapena

Full Professor at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, member of the group at the University Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics. She holds a Ph.D. and has extensive experience in university teaching (undergraduate and master’s programs) and academic supervision (7 defended doctoral theses and over 60 undergraduate/graduate final projects). Her research focuses on open access and open science, open data, data science, visualization, governance, transparency, and ethical and responsible artificial intelligence, with contributions to scientific evaluation and digital humanities. She has participated in over 60 national and international competitive projects, several as PI/Co-PI, and has a publication record of over 90 indexed articles (h-index = 23; 4 six-year research periods recognized).

Professor and Associate Dean at the School of Systems Science, Beijing Normal University. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, and degrees in Systems Science and Management Science from Beijing Normal University. He has been, since 2022, a Professor at the School of Systems Science, having previously served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Fribourg. He advances research in complex networks, the Science of Science, information mining, and urban science through extensive empirical studies. He has authored over 100 publications with nearly 5,000 citations (H-index 35), including influential works featured as cover stories in Nature Human Behaviour and PNAS, and highlighted by Nature and Science. He manages multiple projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and serves as an academic editor for Humanities and Social Sciences Communications.

Maite Pelacho López

Researcher and manager of national and european projects at the Ibercivis Foundation. She holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of the Basque Country, a degree in Physics from the University of Valencia, and a research qualification in environmental engineering from the University of Zaragoza. She has been, since 2018, the coordinator of the Citizen Science Observatory in Spain, an Ibercivis project launched in 2016 with FECYT. She promotes citizen science in and outside Spain through various initiatives, including: the integration of citizen science into universities with the Ministry of Universities (2022), two strategies developed with FECYT to strengthen citizen science (2018/2019), and initiatives to foster its development (2017/2018). She advocates for better governance of science, understanding it as one of the knowledge commons.
